Caption: American baritone Cornell McNeil, above , started a near riot when he confronted hecklers in the audience in the Regio Theater in Parma, Italy, last night and called them "idiots." The uproar that followed forced the suspensionof the opening night's operatic performance in the theater. McNeil is shown as he made up for his debut at Milan's La scla in 1959.
