Condon Vander Ark, 23 (right) from the University of Michigan received the Distinguished Achievement Award. Drake Duane, 23, (left) from Wayne State University received the Meritorious achievement Award. Dr. F.D. Dodrill (center) Chairman of the Michigan Heart Association Research Committee in presenting these awards also cited the fine work being done by other students doing research as Medical Student Research Fellows of the Association..
