A cross will mark the spot where traffic fatalities have occurred in New Orleans. The first four, of 286 crosses, have been put up at Gentilly Boulevard and Peoples Avenue. From left to right are Kenneth King, city traffic engineer, assistant engineer; Gene Simmon, member of the Association of Commerce traffic committee, and Frank Banner of the department of public safety. The crosses represent traffic fatalities during the past four years.
