Description

Mamie Eisenhower today displays her Christmas gift from the president -- a gold medallion in the form of a five -pointed star encircled with a holly wreath and hearing the engraving: "To Mamie." On the reverse side is this inscription: "For never-failing help, since 1916-- in calm and in stress, in dark days and in bright. Love--Ike. Christmas 1955." The president designed the medallion.
