She is Bette Bao Lord (left) the Chinese wife of our American Ambassador, a best-selling author, and an American citizen, born in Shanghai and raised in Brooklyn. This special hour "20/20" can be seen on Thursday, Sept. 3 at 10:00 p.m. (EDT) on the ABC Television Network.
