1966 Press Photo Haskins Steel Company uses new hydraulic sheer to cut steel

Haskins Steel Company, E3613 Main, has invested nearly $40,000 in this hydraulic shear capable of cutting steel plate 12 feet wide and three-fourths of an inch thick. Al Ray, general manager, said the 13-ton machine has the largest capability of any shear in the Inland Empire. It has centralized controls, automatic lubrication, light beam shearing gauge and a push-button operated back gauge. The machine was installed last week in the firm's steel service center.
