He may be out of work in other cities -- but he does fine in Spokane Santa is on the soup line. In other parts of the country, the traditional department store Santa is reportedly having a hard time finding a job, but in Spokane, at least, he's alive and well. A Wall Street Journal article recently reported that because of the national economic recovery, merchants are finding that they don't need Santa to bring in customers.
