United States National Bank at Southwest Broadway & Stark Street is considered one of the finest examples, left of terra cotta work and other design elements typical of years 1905 to 1930. Flowers and leaves circle Corinthian column capitals. Portland architect Virginia Guest Ferriday is proposing terra cotta district to preserved downtown area's architectural elements in future structures within the district. She holds section of terra cotta arcade taken from demolished Congress Hotel at Southwest Main Street & Sixth Ave, where Orbanco Building now stands.
