Margarita Boyce, who arrived in Oregon with her migrant worker family a little more than 10 years ago, now teaches students like Dago Aranda and Chris Salas at Echo Straw Elementary School in Cornelius. Of the 26 students in her combained third and forth grade classroom, five are spanish speaking. "I try working with them on a one-on-one basis as much as I can." Mrs. Boyce said, "I just brought them up from reading no English at all to reading at the fourth grade level."
