Dr. Owen K. Garriott, 34, one of the six scientists chosen to provide skills for future three-man space flights, is shown checking radio signal recording at satellite monitoring station which he directs at Stanford University. Dr. Garriott is a senior scientist at the Stanford Center for Radar Astronomy. The scientists are expected to bring skills to the Apollo missions not possessed by ordinary astronauts.
