Baltimore, Maryland - When the S.S. Steel Inventor put into port the hold of the ship was fumigated with hydrocyanic gas. In the hold of the ship were sixteen stowaways, seven of whom died of the fumes before reaching their coveted goal, the U.S.A. Shown are five of the survivors.
