Credit - UPI and Cleveland Press In St. Louis, Dr. Feldman prepares a child for a new test that uses brain wave patterns to detect hearing. In the actual test, the child will be asleep in a soundproof room. The machines are an FM stereotape recorder (left top) and a special computer (bottom) which averages brain wave patterns. The machine at right programs the sound patterns.
