1982 Press Photo Milwaukee Zoo's newest addition seemed at home in new quarters

Description
The Milwaukee County Zoo's newest addition, a year-old polar bear, seemed right at home in his new quarters as he was shown to the public for the first time over the weekend. He played with a block of salt, given to him by zoo keepers, and posed for the camera. The bear, as yet unnamed, was purchased from the Bronx Zoo in New York by the Zoological Society of Milwaukee County, a private organization. The Zoo's last polar bear died in October. A contest to name the new bear is planned. Milwaukee - Zoo - Bears - Polar
