1957 Press Photo Painting "Zinsgroschen." Owner Mrs. Wadskjer. Hamburg.

A buyer has purchased the world-famous painting "Zinsgroschen" for 2,000,000DM from Mrs. Wadskjer in Hamburg. Her husband had brought the painting with him to Hamburg as a refugee, and she had finally decided to sell it. The 1.42m x 1.89m painting was taken to Hamburg bank under police protection. Her husband, Henry Wadskjer, had been a director in Berlin and the picture was a piece in his private collection. Our picture shows Mrs. Wadskjer in her home with the picture.
