Crocodile Exhibit seized..: The Wild Life Department of the Delhi Administration has taken into custody a crocodile which was being exhibited in a roadside tank in the Jama Masjid area of Delhi. The crocodile had to be kept in a deep freeze at the Tis Hazard Courts after a wild life inspector found it dead. The five-foot long crocodile was sold at Jama Masjid for Rs.101 by a fisherman who netted it in Rajasthan. Under the Wild Life Act, netting and selling of crocodiles is banned. The inspector said that the alligator was being commercially exhibited by a dealer for Paise 25/- when alive and Paise ten after death.
