New long range radar ~~~~~~~: The prototype of a new long range radar able to detect and analyze a target traveling faster than a bullet many miles away is shown here undergoing final tests at the Hughes aircraft company in California. Framed by the reflector assembly, energy feeds on the receiving antenna of the radar known as ~~~~~ more being adjusted by the engineer before final testing. Energy feeds are devices that channel radio frequency energy between points in the system.
