Testing The "Britannia": The Bristol Aeroplane Company are building twenty-five Britannias a year and a further twenty-five are being built by an associated company at Belfast, making a total annual output of fifty. Firm orders for the Britannia now total forty. Some of these are for the long-range version which British Overseas Airways Corporation will use on their North Atlantic routes. In these pictures a Britannia aircraft is seen undergoing tests in a water tank at the Royal Aeronautical Establishment at Farnborough. Photo shows Britannia in water tank.
