Free Nations Aid Turkish Quake Victims: Free nations speedily rallied to send aid to Turkey when a violent mid- arch earthquake did tremendous damage and cost hundreds of lives. A dozen or more nations contributed money, medical supplies, blankets, fueld and many of the other things necessary to alleviate suffering. And in a matter of hous, the people of Yenice and Gonen, the chief quake areas, were getting treatment, food and shelter and the future was being made brighter. Medical supplies from the Netherlands, where disaster had struck only six weeks before, were received and use in a hospital at Bandirma. One of those moved from her destroyed home in Gonen was this mother, whose baby was born in the Bandirma hospital soon after the quake and aptly named Zelzele the Turkish work for earthquake.
