Introducing the "autovista' new type of Automatic fuel dispenser by B.P. A revolutionary new system for dispensing fields at service stations - was demonstrated to the press this morning by British Petroleum company - at leavsden. Hertfordshire. The new system is designed by BP and is known as "Autovista", The car is served with which heaver grade of fuel required - including 'two stroke" of Diesel - to the exact amount - controlled by an electronic circuit which is pre-set. The driver can see on the automatic dial - the exact amount - cost, etc, of the fuel being supplied - so that he can - if he cares - ask for fuel to a prescribed amount - and when that cost is reached - or alternatively quantity is reached. the apparatus is automatically cut off. This eliminates the waiting for change etc. The new unit can supply fuel - if needed at the rate of up to 15 gals. per minute. The unite demonstrated today is designed for use in Germany - where it will soon be Sean. photo shows View inside the garage during the demonstration this morning - as a car receives a pre- set amount of select fuel. The driver can see the examt amount - and cost of the fuel being supplied - on the automatic dials in front.
