Description
Of all the votes given at the election the CSU (Christian Social Union) received 50,18 % of all votes and will be for the next four years the strongest party in the Bundestag. The SPD (Socialdemocratic Party of Germany) received 31, 75 % of all votes and is therefore the second party and at the same time the opposition. Photo shows SPD party leader Erich Ollenhauer votes, (left photo) with the smile of victory on his lips the Chancellor Konrad Adenauer is leaving the polling station after giving his vote. He is the CSU party-leader, (right).
