Description
Mushroom growers live in fear. Inhabitants of the villages, zichen, zussen and bolder near the dutch town of matriarchs, are living in fear owing to the danger of their houses collapsing. Recent heavy rainfalls have caused some of the galleries in the underground mushroom nurseries to collapse. Many of the inhabitants make their living gultivating mushrooms. The ground to collapse in the soft marl underground. Zussen is the worst hit, and the people of Pauly farm dare not sleep at their house. Mushroom grower, Henry stems. Nearly lost two of his sons last week, owing to new collapses in the gallantries. new houses have been built, but owing to ground subsidence they can't be used. photo shows a street is closed, and a policeman stands guard at a huge ground subsidence. The houses in the background have been evacuated.
