The Bell-ringer Whose Head Is Commemorated As A "Gargoyle". Mr. Edward Wragg, the verger and chief bell-ringer of Southwell Minster, holds a bell-rope before practice. His service to the church will be commemorated for centuries to come by his head of stone 70 feet up on the north face of the Minster.
