Woman Hides in a Cupboard for Eleven Days - and Catches Thief...
Fifty one year old Mrs May Kettley living on tinned food and bread and milk - hid herself in a cupboard in the bedroom of her home in Wigley Road, Hanworth Middlesex - for eleven days - and on the eleventh day she heard someone call out "Is anyone at home"... Then she saw her neighbour - 25 year old Mrs. Rhonda Woodcock enter and look under the mattress... Mrs. Woodcock was yesterday put on probation for a year and ordered to repay money she had stolen. She pleaded guilty to stealing $15 and asked for a further case of stealing $39 to be taken into consideration... Mrs. Kettley sat in the cupboard every day from 8.30 a.m. until 1 - and then again from 2 p.m. until 4.30 p.m.
