Description
Caption: Vietnam was the major issue in the final years of the Johnson Administration. Here he heads for the dining room at a Honolulu hotel after 1966 meetings between the key men in the war effort in both the United States and South Vietnam. Flanking Johnson are South Vietnam's premier Nguyen Cao Ky (left) and its president, Nguyen Van Thieu. Behind them are (from left) Secretary of State Dean Rusk, Ambassador Henry Cabot Lodge and Defense Secretary Robert McNamara. The meeting was one of several held on the war.
