March of the Constables--Papua New Guinea--Native constables, appointed to police fellow natives in and about the village of New Guinea by the Australian New Guinea Adminstration Unit, are shown carrying rifles as they march through a typical village on drill. They are given a six-month training period, and are issued rifles, ammunition, handcuffs and uniform shirt--but shoes offer no problems of supply.
