This is an original press photo. Perkins is shown as she calmly extracts the venom from a six-foot rattlesnake. She is believed to be the youngest person in the United States who does and likes to perform this work. In company with her father, mother, and a younger brother, she went to a rattlesnake haunt a year ago to trap the rattlers and when the count was made, the family had caught 99 snakes. Jane alone accounted for 22. She is so interested in reptiles that she says, "I think that I will make it my life's work."Photo measures 7 x 9.25inches. Photo is dated 05-05-1934.
